About me

Wine and Spirits is not just my passion, it is my raison d'être, the pull of which compelled me to give up my Army career of 23 years to pursue it full time. A Champagne Scholarship, hands-on experience in vineyards across Europe and Sake Breweries in Japan, and connecting with the global beverages world have been propelling this passion no end. Life suddenly started being more meaningful ever since I decided to empower myself with the belief- “In Vino Veritas”! - Read More

Cheers Santé and Salud!

A fun bar takeover by ace mixologists Santosh Kukreti and Sanjeet Yadav showcasing some ingenious cocktails made using a beverage selection from Bottle Bridge Beverages, that included a Mezcal Artesanal too!
Among the creative libations, my favourite turned out to be “Say Cheese”-
made with Bourbon, Parmesan Cheese, Spicy Pineapple, Lemon and Vegan Foamer- a savoury delight that had guests asking for more.
A perfect start to the festive season 🍸
Keep it coming folks!🙌

🇮🇳🥃 A promising future for Indian Whisky!
An insightful visit to the Indian Malt Whisky Association (IMWA) and a stimulating meeting with its Director General Maj Gen (Dr.) Rajesh Chopra, AVSM(Retd)- also my senior from the Indian Army 🫡 🇮🇳
Great to see IMWA’s efforts in defining standards for Indian malt whisky, strengthening credibility and helping Indian whisky reach a wider global audience. 🌍
As Indian whisky makes its mark internationally, such initiatives will be key to building recognition and trust.
Cheers to that!

🥃 India’s single malt story just keeps getting more exciting! 🇮🇳

From earning global recognition to winning over Indian whisky lovers, homegrown single malts are proving that India can do much more than just drink whisky!

My recent tasting of Gamber Valley Whisky at Spiritz Achievers Awards was another reminder of the exciting possibilities emerging from India’s whisky scene.

👃 On the nose: Warm malt, hints of spice and inviting sweetness.
🥃 On the palate: Malty character, gentle spice and chocolate notes that make for an enjoyable sip.
✨ The finish: Warm, lingering and satisfying.

Indian single malts are carving out their own identity, one dram at a time. And for whisky lovers, that means more homegrown expressions worth exploring!

Have you tried Gamber Valley yet? What’s your favourite Indian single malt? 👇

🍷 25 years of Sula Vineyards—and what a journey it has been!
From its first bottle to becoming a powerhouse of Indian wine, Sula’s evolution is also a story of India’s changing wine culture. 🇮🇳🍇
✨ Premiumisation, 🍾 dealcoholised wines and 🌿 an expanding wine-tourism footprint point to an exciting next chapter.
I recently experienced this journey through an intimate tasting and fireside chat with Rajeev Samant and Subhash Arora.
📖 Read my take on Sula at 25—and what the next years could hold. From Pune to Delhi — HIK Mead is making its way across India!
What makes this launch even more interesting? HIK is the only mead currently offered in a keg, bringing a fresh, modern take to this ancient honey-based drink. 🍯🍻
