An absolute honour to showcase a diverse range of Indian wines to an Israeli contingent.🇮🇳🇮🇱
Having tasted their wines earlier from the Biblical region of Binyamin hills, there were quite a few parallels to draw on the type of wines being produced by both countries.
What’s more we included some Indian cheeses including an Indian version of Brie, and the quintessential Kababs and Biryani that had the guests asking for more.
Looking forward to more such stimulating sessions

The wines, in order of service:

1. Chandon Brut Classic — A milestone bottle. With the winery recently acquired by Sula Vineyards, this may be one of the final releases under the Chandon India label. It exuded class as expected.

2. Sula Seco Rosé — Off-dry, with delicious fresh red fruit and a delicate salmon-pink sparkle.

3. Sula Dindori Reserve Chardonnay 2024 — Partially barrel-fermented and aged in French oak. India's most awarded Chardonnay, and it showed why.

4. Sula Sauvignon Blanc 2025 — Bright, bouncy acidity with the variety's characteristic herbaceous note outlining the flavours of green apple and pear.

5. Fratelli Cabernet Franc-Shiraz — An easy-drinking red with velvety tannins and warm dark fruit.

6. Sula Rasa Syrah 2024 — Full-bodied and dense, with dark blackfruit, cracked pepper, and spice. Exclusivity and approachability built into one.

7. Grover Vijay Amritraj Collection Red 2023 — Decanted for one hour. Great structure, a complex palate of dark fruits, sweet spice, and a lifted floral note. A touch of the Northern Rhône in the Nandi Hills.

8. Fratelli Sette 2023 — Decanted for one and a half hours. Rounded tannins, dark fruits, spice, and herbal complexity. Rightfully a “Super Indian“ - India’s answer to a Super Tuscan.

Been exploring the Himalayan botanical brews from The 6th Element — layered, nuanced, and surprisingly complex in flavour, with ingredients like rhododendron, sea buckthorn, blue pea flower, kilmora berry, and Himalayan coffee- built over the base of black barley Malt.

A knowledge-packed refresher on Californian wines with the ever-energetic @devatimallick and @magiccellars 🍷

Five wines beautifully showcased the diversity of terroir and the compelling value California brings to the table. A plush yet well-balanced Chardonnay led the way, followed by an elegant Pinot Noir, a vibrant fruity-spicy Zinfandel, and two distinctive Cabernets that rounded off this late afternoon tasting.
