Vinitaly Roadshow, New Delhi — my first wine rendezvous of 2026, and a compelling showcase of Italy in a glass.
Wines from 31 producers reflected the country’s remarkable diversity, from lesser-seen single varietals like Greco, Grechetto and Corvina to some thoughtfully crafted blends.
Grappa took centre stage too, with expressions from varied pomaces including Moscato and Amarone. Add to that inventive offerings like pistachio cream liqueur, and the experience moved well beyond expectations.

Of course, classics such as Amarone, Prosecco and Chianti made their presence felt — and in generous measure.

✨🍷Last weekend saw an incredible Bordeaux 1855 Grands Crus tasting at the Embassy of France — a masterclass in finesse, heritage, and timeless artistry in the glass where 8 producers showcased their wines in their full glory.

The celebration continued into the evening at Hotel Lalit’s Baluchi, where the same stellar wines met the bold and soulful flavours of India 🇫🇷🤝🇮🇳 A pairing that truly surprised and delighted — from Pauillac power to Margaux elegance, and the mid way approach of Saint Julien- each wine found its perfect match on the plate.
