ProWine Mumbai 2024: What to Expect at India’s Biggest Wine and Spirits Event this year

Prowine Mumbai is back for its 4th edition, and this year promises to be bigger and better. I am also pleased to share that this blog is an official Media Partner for the fair.

Organised by Messe Düsseldorf India and All Things Nice, Prowine Mumbai 2024 will be held on the 8th & 9th of November at the world-class Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, a city that is home to some of the most prominent importers and producers of wines and spirits and an advanced consumer base.

A steady growth

Over the years, Prowine Mumbai has grown into India’s leading business platform for the wine, spirits, and hospitality industries. Having personally witnessed its past two editions in different capacities- as a brand representative, a masterclass presenter, and a writer/ vlogger, I can safely say that anybody looking to do beverage business in India should not miss it.

So what’s New in Prowine Mumbai 2024?

The biggest new addition this year is ProSpirits, a special focus on the spirits industry. As premium spirits gain traction among India’s rising middle class, ProSpirits will highlight cutting-edge trends and innovations. Expect tastings led by industry experts and an opportunity to discover the latest products from both established and emerging brands.

Also, the ProWine & ProSpirits Challenge– a blind-tasting competition to ascertain the quality of 300+ products vis-à-vis the preferences of the local palate, will crown the best wines and spirits available in the Indian market. It’s a unique chance for brands to shine and for attendees to influence the results.

Learn from the Best: Masterclasses and Competitions

ProWine Mumbai’s masterclasses are always a major highlight. Having personally conducted one in its  2022 edition I can effortlessly vouch for their reach and quality of audience. These free masterclasses cover a range of topics, with tastings led by wine authorities, master distillers, and leading brand ambassadors. The 2024 edition will see more than 10 such masterclasses.

For bartenders, the ProWine Bartenders’ Competition offers an exciting opportunity to showcase their skills. The winner will not only earn the prestigious title of “ProWine Bartender of the Year” but also win an all-expense-paid guest shift at an international bar—an invaluable career boost.

Networking and Industry Insights

In addition to the hands-on sessions and tastings, ProWine Mumbai 2024 will host lively panel discussions with experts from the craft spirits and global wine industries. These discussions are designed to provide insights into industry trends, giving attendees a well-rounded perspective on where the market is headed.

The event will culminate in the ProWine Mumbai Night, a networking event that brings together top figures in the wine and spirits industry, from global brand ambassadors to hospitality leaders. The night includes tastings of winning brands from the ProWine & ProSpirits Challenge and an awards ceremony honouring standout contributors to the industry.
